Srikanth Padmanabhan, managing director of Cummins Generator Technologies for the past four years, has been selected to head Cummins Emission Solutions and has also been named a vice president of Cummins Inc. He will assume his new role on Jan. 15, and will be based in Columbus, Ind., the company’s headquarters.

Cummins Emission Solutions is one of four businesses operating within the company’s Components Group, and has been one of Cummins’ fastest-growing businesses since its inception in 2002. The business is expected to triple in sales from 2006 to 2007 to approximately $450 million.

During his 17 years with Cummins, Padmanabhan, has served in a variety of leadership positions in addition to his current role, including as country manager of Cummins Filtration Mexico and plant manager at the Cummins Filtration plant in Cookeville, Tenn. He also has held a number of management roles within the Cummins Fuel Systems business in Columbus.

“We are excited to have Srikanth assume responsibility for this important and growing Cummins business,” said Rick Mills, Components Group president. “His past experiences will serve him well in his new role as general manager of Emission Solutions.”

Padmanabhan’s successor at Cummins Generator Technologies will be named in the near future.

Cummins Inc., a global power provider, is a corporation of complementary business units that design, manufacture, distribute and service engines and related technologies, including fuel systems, controls, air handling, filtration, emission solutions and electrical power generation systems.
