ASHEVILLE, N.C. — Volvo Construction Equipment Rents recently announced the opening of a new Volvo Rents equipment rental franchise in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.

Champion Rentals has opened its second Volvo Rents franchise in Canada. Its first opened in December 2004 in Brampton (Toronto), Canada. This is the fifth Volvo franchise to open in Canada; at present, seven Volvo Rents centers are either open or under contract to open in the near future in Canada.

The company also signed a franchise agreement for a new Volvo Rents equipment rental center in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Deerfoot Rentals entered into a Volvo Rents franchise agreement to open Volvo Rents centers in Calgary. The new equipment rental center, the fifth Volvo Rents rental franchise under contract in Alberta and the sixth in Canada, has been in business since 1998 as Deerfoot Rentals and will immediately start operating as a Volvo Rents location.

In the United States, Volvo Rents signed a franchise agreement for new Volvo Rents equipment rental centers in Hawaii.

All Islands Equipment Rental, LLC, Honolulu, has entered into a Volvo Rents franchise agreement to open Volvo Rents centers in the Honolulu, Kauai, and Maui metropolitan areas.

Asheville, N.C.-based Volvo Rents began its equipment rental franchise initiative in 2001. The company now has more than 60 equipment rental centers open in the United States and Canada. It is No. 16 on the RER 100.
