SEATTLE — Star Rentals is preparing to open a branch in Salem, Ore., this month, CEO Bob Kendall told RER. The new facility will be managed by Ray Bonnes, who previously managed the company's Longview, Wash., location.

“We anticipate being open for business around May 22,” Kendall said. “Salem is the capital of Oregon and encompasses two of the fastest-growing counties, Marion and Polk, in the state. Star Rentals already has a customer base in Salem and, in addition, we look forward to pursuing new business.”

C.J. Martin has succeeded Bonnes as manager of the Longview branch, having been trained by Star's management training program.

No. 34 on the RER 100, the Salem branch will give Seattle-based Star 17 locations.
