Taylorsville, Ky. — Charles “Ed” Detrich III, 59, of Taylorsville, Ky., died Sept. 26th, following a lengthy illness.

Detrich was a respected businessman in the equipment rental business for more than 35 years, having held positions with U-Haul, RentX and TruServ.

Detrich is survived by his parents; his wife of 39 years Bev Detrich; three children: Charles E. Detrich IV, of Chambersburg, Pa.; Brian Detrich, and his wife Helen of Taylorsville; Angie Stark and her husband Bart, also of Taylorsville; and seven grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Susan Strubhar and husband Paul, of Mercersburg, Pa.
