MOLINE, Ill. — The American Rental Association last month announced that 5,568 delegates attended from more than 30 countries, up from 4,058 last year, an increase of 37 percent. Total number of rental stores represented was 2,267, up from 1,810 at the 2003 convention in Anaheim, Calif. Also 5,000 exhibitor personnel attended the event. Exhibit space sold out — approximately 750 exhibitors showcased their products. Attendance at Construction University surpassed 200, and more than 325 people participated in the Events & Tents sessions. The Rental Product Premiere attracted 2,400 people and approximately 2,000 people attended the keynote speech given by Frank Abagnale.
