SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Chuck Maltese, executive director of the California Rental Association since 1988, announced his retirement from the organization, effective June 30.

“Chuck has given CRA 18 years of service and has made numerous contributions to the association and the rental industry,” said CRA president Paul Arbon. “He and his wife Joyce will be missed, but Chuck felt it was time to retire.”

Maltese will be honored as part of CRA's 60th anniversary celebration in Indian Wells, Calif., June 21.

“Chuck brought tremendous professionalism to CRA,” CRA chairman of the board Dale Blackwell of Sacramento-based Aba Daba Rents told RER. Rental people and vendors say the same thing. Chuck brought great credibility to CRA. He's really going to be missed. Going forward, there will be a lot of times when we'll wonder where Chuck is and what he'd think of a situation. We've been through some tough times, but he handled so many things, he made us all proud to be part of CRA.”
