In response to the growing market of mobile users, Point-of-Rental Systems recently launched its integrated website-hosting solution specifically for smartphone users.

“Recent studies indicate that smartphone usage will overtake desktop within three to four years, with most people accessing the Internet via smartphones or other mobile devices,” said Andre Farci, web design team lead at Point-of-Rental Systems. “Therefore, it was imperative for us to offer our rental store customers an integrated web-hosting solution that takes advantage of this growing trend and will meet mobile user needs for years to come.”

Point-of-Rental Systems has hosted websites for its rental industry customers since 2005. Now its new smartphone format includes an integrated hosting solution, allowing mobile users to search rental stores' online and up-to-date inventory, including descriptions, pictures and rental rates. Taking advantage of smartphone features, online users can then make a call to reserve an item or find directions to the rental store using their phone's Google Maps interface.

“A key difference between our integrated web-hosting services compared to others is the fact that we offer our rental stores many advanced features that effectively eliminate many costly website maintenance tasks and also make their websites search-engine friendly,” Farci said.

Point-of-Rental Systems is a provider of Microsoft Windows server-based rental management systems in North America.
