Double-drum oscillating roller
Sakai introduces the SW652ND, a 58-inch-wide double-drum oscillating roller that doubles as a double-drum vibratory roller. The SW652ND oscillates or vibrates on both drums simultaneously. Each drum is independently controlled for optimum flexibility. This technology is designed to achieve the required compaction faster on both thin and thick lift asphalt applications. The drums are cross-mounted such that the drive motors are on opposite sides of the machine, enabling the roller to roll straight, even at slow speeds. The unit is powered by a fuel-efficient, 78-hp Hino diesel engine that drives the machine’s traction, steering and compaction systems independent of each other. ROPS and seatbelts are standard safety features, as is Sakai’s exclusive three-way braking system.
