Energy-saving electric motors on the front wheels power the 1,740- pound machine at a top speed of 3 mph. The JLG 1230ES features a 500-pound platform capacity and built-in workstation, including a tool and fastener tray and 110V AC outlet. The hydraulic powered platform can lift to its maximum height of 12 feet or fully lower in 12 seconds. Because of the machine’s narrow overall dimensions and 5-inch inside turning radius, it can negotiate narrow passages and fit into most freight elevators. The steel three-section mast lacks chains, cables or rollers, making it maintenance free. And because it has only four hydraulic connections, the chance of hydraulic fluid leaks is minimal.
