New Holland’s crawler dozer line now offers an optional side boom attachment for pipe-laying applications. The side boom option is initially available on the D85B and D95B (pictured) models. The attachment offers a lift capacity of 20,000 pounds and features a three-lever hydraulic control system that permits the operator simultaneous control of load and boom functions. Designed to be easy to operate, the system reduces training time and increases operator safety. The 15-foot side boom conveniently folds for ease of transportation, and two extendable counterweight segments, each 1,120 pounds, can be easily removed for shipping.
