Thompson Pump

Thompson's HT self-priming centrifugal trash pump is designed for dewatering applications in the construction, industrial, civil engineering and public works industries. Made with solid cast-iron construction, the unit features cast-iron rubber-lined wear plates and dry-running abrasion-resistant tungsten carbide mechanical seals with viton elastomers. Each model includes two- or three-vane impellers in sizes ranging from 3 to 8 inches with capacities up to 2,600 gpm and heads to 142 feet.

Multiquip

Multiquip's high-pressure centrifugal pumps are designed for applications requiring high-discharge pressures and lower flows than standard centrifugal pumps. Used primarily for equipment washing, jetting, agricultural spraying, emergency stand-by firefighting pumps and as prime movers for water trailers. The unit produces up to 145 gpm. Accessories include a 1½-inch high-pressure hose in 50-foot lengths, and a 1½-inch adjustable fire nozzle.

Tsurumi

Tsurumi pump models EPT4-150DPJD, the vacuum-assisted dry prime, and the EPT4-150DPQJD sound-attenuated dry prime feature vacuum-assisted dry-prime operation, heavy-duty fabricated steel frame, heavy-duty John Deere engines with electric start and the capability of passing 3-inch spherical solids. The units feature 60-gallon fuel tanks for a run time of 24 hours at full load and seal systems designed for extended dry runs. The sound-attenuated unit is designed for sound levels as low as 70dba at 23 feet, Tsurumi says.

Godwin Pumps

Godwin Pumps' Dri-Prime pump is an automatic priming centrifugal pump line capable of flows to 13,500 gpm, heads to 615 feet, and solids-handling to five inches in diameter. Available in sizes from 2 inches to 24 inches, the Dri-Prime line provides suction lift capability to 28 feet and continuous uninterrupted operation. Its double high-pressure oil bath mechanical seal with abrasion-resistant solid silicon carbide faces enables the pump to run indefinitely without risk of overheating or failure, the maker says.

Wacker Neuson

Wacker Neuson's new diaphragm pump line offers mud-slurry pumping and seepage control, handling solids up to 1.75 inches and up to 25-percent solids by volume. The PD pump series includes heavier-walled castings, hardened gears with deeper cuts for less slippage and breakage potential compared with previous models. The company upgraded key components such as the crank arm and wheel mounts to tough ductile iron compared with previously used steel. Larger, wider tires are designed to improve weight distribution.

Jenny Products

Jenny Products introduces modifications to the design of its K pump. The single-stage compressor pump features new easy-access unloader pins, which reduce downtime. A new patent-pending crank-case breather system in the K Pump features a replaceable filter, allowing for the assembly to be cleaned rather than completely replaced. A new airfoil blade design on the wheel improves airflow across the pump for efficient cooling.

Gorman-Rupp

The Prime Aire pumps from Gorman-Rupp use a venture and a compressor to eliminate the leaks associated with traditional vacuum-assisted pumps. The system reduces environmental concerns on sewage bypass operations and other environmentally hazardous liquids, but it also enables the pumps to operate under flooded suction conditions without leaking. The positive priming of the Prime Aire is well suited for applications involving long suction lines, intermittent flows or large volumes of air in the liquid being pumped. In addition, dry-run capability is designed into the Prime Aire system.
