Star Hill's Jawz hydraulic grabbing tool was originally developed to remove invasive plants when other methods, such as a bucket and thumb, weren't able to effectively do the job. The attachment can also be used for other land management tasks, such as fence post removal, hedgerow removal, rock picking, and moving irregular objects.

Stuart Cave, Star Hill sales manager, says the grabbing tool works precisely and efficiently in a variety of land management applications and it allows boulders to be moved safely. “Using Jawz to precisely grab, move, and place the boulders results in a one-man operation while seated safely on the equipment,” he says.

The Jawz attachment is available in two versions: One is for tractors and skid steers with the universal quick attach, and the Mini Jawz is for compact utility loaders and mini excavators. The grabbing tools are designed for users such as landscapers, gardeners, road and construction crews, and park managers. The smaller Jawz grabbing tool opens to a width of 26 inches, while the larger opens up to 34 inches, enabling them to grab a variety of materials.
