Beta Max

The Scaff-Trac Mounting System is designed for attaching hoists to conventional walk-through frame scaffolding. The Scaff-Trac hangs just under the horizontal members of a frame scaffold using Beta Max saddles and pins. It works with frame scaffolds using either 7-foot or 8-foot cross braces, and allows the load to be rolled back into the scaffold for unloading. Multiple pin configurations are available, allowing the user flexibility to mount the system to most brands of frame scaffold. The Scaff-Trac allows a maximum lift capacity of 1,200 pounds and a cantilever of 3½ feet.

Power Climber

Power Climber releases the newest member of the PC3 traction hoist family — the 110-V model. It features load-sensitive traction to reduce wire rope consumption, built-in overspeed brake to eliminate out-of-compliance operation, and broad operating voltage range to reduce downtime. Both models, like the air-powered PC3s are designed to be significantly easier to operate, upgrade and service than legacy hoists. Reduction in rental fleet maintenance costs is achieved with the PC3, the company says.

Ken Buettner, president of York Scaffold Equipment Corp. is pleased with the easy maintenance between rentals of the PC3. “Hoist motors are challenged by torturous weather, low-voltage situations and rough jobsite conditions,” Buettner says. “Add to that the need to perform quick and thorough maintenance in-between customer rentals. The PC3 hoists in our rental fleet have risen to those challenges and proven to be a winner on all counts.”
