Monster Machine Maximizes Cleaning Potential
The Groutzilla Placement System from Stone Construction Equipment places grout and masonry mortar using a mechanical delivery system. This power-take-off-driven unit is designed to make placing grout in blocks, walls, forms and foundations easy and efficient, while delivering optimal control, minimal clean-up and high productivity. A swing-away discharge snout eliminates the need for tools to clean the system and is ergonomically designed to get rid of handling heavy components. With the Groutzilla there is no need to take it apart or remove the auger during clean up.
“Because grout pumps are so difficult to clean, and if they are not cleaned properly, they can damage the pump; they typically are not a rental item,” says Jeff Gambrill, vice president of marketing and sales for Stone Construction Equipment.
The Groutzilla handles 20 cubic feet of grout material and the discharge flow rate is 24 cubic yards per hour. Working in conjunction with a telehandler or forklift, the system handles almost any slump, filling multiple courses of block spanning 20 feet or more. The angled geometry of the heavy-duty hopper promotes flow to the auger and helps prevent accumulation of grout on the hopper's sidewalls. In addition, the built-in splash guard reduces incidental spills and loss of material while transporting.
