Gladiator, the latest product innovation from Star Diamond, has a cool core design that keeps the blade running true under the most demanding cutting conditions with increased speed.

Diamond Maximus segments are .400 inches high to provide long life and cut a wide range of concrete and masonry products on high speed and masonry saws.

The biggest problem with conventional dry cut blades is the overheating of the blade in the cut and having it lose tension, break or simply wear prematurely. This blade solves these problems.

“The cool core design keeps the blade running cool even under the most strenuous circumstances,” says Vince Olfert, general manager. “The blade reduces damage from rental abuses.”

Conventional dry diamond blades have gullets that provide cooling only close to the segments, and the rest of the blade is not protected from the heat generated while cutting. If the blade is not allowed to rest occasionally, it will warp and lose tension.

The cool core design keeps the blade cool while cutting. This is an important safety feature and assures much faster cutting speeds even in very hard materials. When a blade runs cooler, it cuts straighter and the service life increases.
