Volvo Construction Equipment Rents has signed a rental franchise agreement with WDB Rental, Cincinnati. The franchise is Volvo Construction Equipment Rents’ seventh within the past three months. WDB, an independently owned and operated rental company, will open rental centers under the Volvo name in the Cincinnati metropolitan area. The first WDB Rental Volvo rental center will open in Hamilton, Ohio in the near future.

Volvo began its rental initiative in 2001 as part of a major new strategy for the distribution of its extensive range of compact construction equipment. The first Volvo rental centers opened early in 2002 in Louisiana, Georgia, Florida and Tennessee. Other rental centers have opened in North Carolina during the past two months.

In a recent statement, W. Dale Barger, president of WDB Rental said, “Our new Volvo Rents centers will be in metropolitan areas that are in the midst of heavy commercial, industrial and residential expansion. These are highly competitive market areas, and we are fully convinced that the turn-key Volvo Rents program, along with the highly-respected Volvo name, gives us an unique advantage in our business.”
