Vp’s Hire Station Acquires Cool Customers

United Kingdom rental company Vp PLC said its tool and safety equipment rental business Hire Station has acquired Cool Customers Ltd and its holding company for about 1 million pounds (about U.S. $2 million).

Vp’s chairman Jeremy Pilkington said the acquisition of Cool Customers will help Hire Station grow its climate products division Climate Hire. Cool Customers will be integrated with the climate products division, Vp officials said.

The Hire Station division more than doubled operating profits in the six-month period ended Sept. 30 from 490,000 pounds (about U.S. $961,300) to 1.35 million pounds (about $2.6 million).

Vp is based in Harrowgate, England.
