Investment Group Acquires Temp-Air
An investment group has acquired Rupp Industries after several months of negotiation with Rupp’s previous owners. As part of the ownership change, the company has changed its name to Temp-Air Inc., although it has long done business as Temp-Air.
“The investment group is eager to share their knowledge and expertise with our current management team, and to work with all of us to determine tactical and strategic initiatives to further enhance this fine organization,” Temp-Air president Dick Brown told employees. “They are confident the organization and its employees have a bright future, and wish to be part of the company’s continued growth and success.”
New company CEO Jim Korn, a National Hockey League player for 11 years, has a degree in economics from Providence and a law degree from the University of Minnesota.
Burnsville, Minn.-based Temp-Air has been a leading provider of temporary, portable heating, cooling and dehumidifying services since 1965.
A major rental player, Temp-Air is No. 73 on the RER 100. The company reported $22.2 million in rental volume and $24.1 in total volume. It has 11 locations.
