Kobelco Construction Machinery America last week manufactured its 20,000th excavator in its Calhoun, Ga., facility.

Opened in 1979, Kobelco’s Calhoun facility currently manufactures the larger Kobelco excavator models in the 16- to 48-ton classifications.

Kobelco offers a full line of compact, mid-size and full-size excavators ranging from 1.7 to 48 metric tons. The company is based in Carol Stream, Ill.
