JLG Offers Five-Year Extended Warranty on ES Scissorlifts
JLG Industries last week announced the availability of an extended warranty program for its ES Series Scissors and the Model 1230 ES vertical mast lift in North America.
This product line has a standard one-year warranty and a five-year warranty on structural components. With the new extended warranty option, the first year of warranty can be extended for years two to five, extending the same coverage of the standard warranty with the exception of paint and decals.
“We’ve developed this program in response to our customers’ desire to control and manage their operating costs,” said Howard Kaplan, JLG’s vice president and product parent for aerial work platforms. “This new warranty offering allows them to do just that, and it reflects our confidence in the many recent reliability enhancements we’ve made to our ES scissor line.”
The ES series offers a full charge of the batteries between two and three times the duty cycles compared to conventionally hydraulically driven electric-powered scissors, the McConnellsburg, Pa.-based manufacturer said. The direct electric drive is designed for more duty cycles per charge, with fewer leak points. The number of hoses in the entire hydraulic system is reduced from four to two on the ES series scissorlifts.
JLG Industries, an Oshkosh Truck Corp. company is the world’s largest designer, manufacturer and marketer of access equipment.
