Strong First Quarter for Edmonton Rental Company
Canadian Equipment Rental Fund, doing business as 4-Way Equipment Rentals, Edmonton, Alberta, last week reported first-quarter total revenue of CD $2.3 million, a 59-percent year-over-year increase. Earnings of $681,697 ($.21 per unit) represented an increase of 315 percent over the same period in 2005.
“Demand for rentals during this traditionally slower winter period was unprecedented as contractors in all industries experienced record demand for their services,” said CERF president Wayne Wadley. “This demand, coupled with seasonally unusual warm weather and lack of snow allowed contractors to do worth during the first half of the quarter not normally associated with winter projects.”
