Independent British rental company Fork Rent plc, based in Ipswich, Suffolk, recently acquired the mechanical assets of Leicestershire-based rental business Swift Plant Hire, an in-house rental company previously owned by David Wilson Homes. The deal, terms of which were not disclosed, adds more than 120 telescopic handlers and about 20 delivery vehicles to the Fork Rent fleet, which now has more than 1,400 units.
