WebEx announced it has signed United Rentals as a new WebEx services customer. United Rentals used WebEx meetings for interactive training seminars, management and sales presentations and regional staff meetings. WebEx supports data, voice and video communications and allows United Rental employees to communicate in real-time through a standard browser.

“WebEx has helped us decrease travel costs, increase sales and improve productivity,” said Pat Lourigan, director of Conversions and IT Training at United Rentals. “WebEx fills the gap between a basic telephone call and an expensive face-to-face meeting, making it a valuable part of our company’s communications. We’re using WebEx both externally and internally and every month we see an increase in usage from our 14,000 employees nationwide.”
