Determining a drilling fluid formula has never been easier than with the new interactive tool on Ditch Witch's new Web site. Simply enter the number and size of conduits to be pulled back, the bore length, the type of soil to be drilled in, the horizontal directional drilling system to be used and the estimated fluid viscosity. Drop down menus make this formulator fast and easy to use. Results include a recommended fluid volume range, backreamer size, formula additives, formula notes and the estimated time per pipe to clean the hole.

The site also features a downhole tool selector to help users determine the best bit or backreamer for each HDD job. Users enter the soil conditions and Ditch Witch HDD system being used on the job to receive a list of bits or backreamers, ranked by effectiveness.
