The new Load-N-Tow was designed to allow one man and a forklift to load heavy, awkward rental equipment such as plate compactors, sod cutters, water pumps and pressure washers. A front gate folds down to form a ramp, making it easy to roll or slide equipment on or off the platform. It also has a built-in 2-foot square receiver for a trailer adapter to move trailer-mounted equipment around the yard. It is available in three platform sizes: 42 inches by 42 inches, 42 inches by 48 inches and 48 inches by 48 inches.

The Model 900 Series Traveling Tail hydraulic trailer is available in either 35 or 50 ton capacity and features a simplified, one hydraulic control for three hydraulic operations. Available in either tandem or triple axle, the 900 series is available with 12-foot, 14-foot or 15-foot tail lengths. A load angle as low as 11 degrees is possible with the 15-foot tail. The frame design of the 900 series is a four-beam positive cambered, with the undercarriage supporting the tail section for more payload capacity. A 12-inch crossmember spacing standard, 25,000-pound axles and a standard apitong wood-covered tail with a lifting capacity of 24,000 pounds are all recent enhancements.
Steve Gilcrest, manager of the Garland, Texas, branch of Las Vegas-based Ahern Rentals, uses the 900 Series to deliver boom lifts and other high reach equipment to jobsites. Because it has only one hydraulic cylinder, Gilcrest has never had any downtime with the trailers.

The new Lift-a-Load Inclining Platform Trailer is designed to offer fast, efficient loading and unloading of cargo. The trailer features a 68-inch by 11-foot, 4-inch carrying platform that can be hydraulically lowered to ground height. The built-in ramp then allows drive-on access for loading or unloading cargo. When lowered, the trailer allows a minimum angle ideal for low ground clearance or reduced gradeability vehicles. Its simple operation, flexibility and enhanced safety allow for one person to load and transport up to 5,000 pounds of cargo, the company says.

Designed to perform double duty, the HDLP Series can be used as two trailers in one. As a heavy-duty dump trailer, it has enough strength to handle the toughest loads. As a transport trailer, loading a piece of equipment is easily done because of rear self-storing ramps and a deck height of 24 inches or less. Also included as standard equipment are D-rings, heavy-duty floor, chain storage and 15-foot remote control.

Bil-jax recently introduced two new enclosed drop-deck trailers to its line of Escalate equipment trailers. They are designed for rental stores that need to transport light equipment and party rental equipment that needs to be protected from the weather or theft. The Model 5000 has a payload capacity of 5,000 pounds and a gross vehicle weight of 8,200 pounds, while the Model 6000 has a payload capacity of 6,000 pounds and a gross vehicle weight of 9,960 pounds. Both trailers come with fiberglass sidewalls, a translucent roof and an enclosure frame made of reinforced fiberglass plywood. A push/pull of a single lever raises and lowers the hydraulically actuated drop-deck.
