Small Loader, Big Advantages

The new Bobcat T140 compact track loader is an entry-level machine that is designed to appeal to the construction industry because of its compact size and ability to work in difficult ground conditions.

“The Bobcat T140 compact track loader can be used during poor weather conditions while other machines can't, such as when working in wet and muddy soil,” says Greg Rostberg, rental marketing manager for Bobcat. “The new Bobcat T140 gives rental stores another option in the compact track loader market, providing customers with a powerful yet compact loader with excellent attachment versatility and low ground pressure for working on sensitive turf.”

The radius lift path loader is 56 inches wide and 124 inches long with bucket and has a 1,400-pound rated operating capacity, giving the machine maneuverability in tight conditions.

The T140 has a turf-friendly lug track that distributes the operating weight of the 6,424-pound loader over a larger area, resulting in a 5-psi ground pressure. The low ground pressure minimizes damage to landscapes, paving stones and other established surfaces. The rubber-track undercarriage also provides improved traction and better flotation with minimal ground disturbance.

The compact track loader offers 16.9 gpm of auxiliary hydraulic flow and is powered by a liquid-cooled, 46-hp diesel engine. More than 40 Bobcat-brand attachments are approved for the new model, including the box blade, landscape rake, soil conditioner and combination bucket.

“Keeping maintenance costs down is key in the rental industry,” Rostberg says. “The T140 is equipped with all-steel idlers and triple-flange rollers that are fully sealed and lubricated for longer life and less maintenance.”
