Terex Corp. received early termination of the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act relating to its proposed merger with CMI Corp. CMI expected the merger to be consummated early this month.

Cleveland-based Lincoln Electric Co. announced the establishment of its new service parts business, a customer-focused replacement parts initiative. The company dedicated a 70,000-square-foot service parts center to house more than 15,000 part numbers. More than 30 employees are designated to take and fill orders for replacement parts.

Harvey, La.-based Superior Energy Services Inc. announced the acquisition of Workstrings, LLC and its related company Technical Limit Drillstrings Inc., a privately held Lafayette, La.-based provider of rental tubulars, accessories and services.

Atlas Copco North America Inc. has, through one of its subsidiaries, acquired Christensen Products, the product division of Layne Christensen Co. The purchase price was not disclosed. Christensen Products, based in Salt Lake City, is a supplier of diamond core drilling equipment for the mineral exploration industry.

Paragould, Ark.-based Allen Engineering's concrete paver line of equipment will now be sold through Allen Engineering's worldwide network of distributors and dealers. The line was previously sold through M.J. Allen Inc. directly to concrete contractors.

Rush Enterprises, which operates a network of Peterbilt heavy-duty truck dealerships, and John Deere construction equipment dealerships in Texas and Michigan, recently acquired the assets of El Paso Great Basin Trucks. San Antonio-based Rush now operates 34 truck locations in seven states.
