SAN ANTONIO - Rush Enterprises, parent of Rush Equipment Center (No. 55 on the RER 100), has acquired Calvert Equipment, a John Deere dealer covering 13 counties in eastern Michigan.

The purchase, valued at $11.1 million, gives Rush, based here, six construction equipment sales and rental locations in Michigan and one in Texas.

"This acquisition fits well with our existing Rush Equipment Centers in western Michigan," CEO Marvin Rush said.

Rush Equipment Center had $35.4 million in total sales last year, including an estimated $16.8 million in rental, from five locations. Rush also operates 24 Peterbilt truck dealerships in five states.
