Utility and Turf Vehicles Power Up Hydraulic Tool Attachments
Kubota Tractor Corp. launches a hydraulic utility valve system for its RTV900 worksite utility and turf utility models, which features a remote valve that is conveniently located at the rear of the vehicle to allow easy hookup of a variety of heavy-duty hydraulic tools. The system has a 5-gpm pump capacity as well as a dedicated hydraulic oil cooler and reservoir to keep tools running at peak performance. These enhancements equip the RTV900 worksite utility and turf utility models to break concrete, cut lumber and brush, prune orchards, drive post holes and perform other tough tasks.
“These rugged and innovative Kubota RTV utility models leverage the RTV900's work horse design and hydraulic capabilities to provide a convenient, reliable source of power wherever it's needed,” says Dan Muramoto, product manager for Kubota. “And, the custom-designed heavy-duty hydraulic implements make it easy to tackle construction, landscaping and other jobs.”
The RTV900s are powered by a 21.6-hp, three-cylinder liquid-cooled Kubota diesel engine. The unit also features a spacious cargo bed and an improved tailgate design that lets gate cables swivel to prevent bending and breaking. The 7.5-inch ground clearance, long wheelbase, wide-treaded tires and four-wheel wet-disc brakes all contribute to a maximum towing capacity of 1,300 pounds.

Competitive Compacts Campaign Against Skid Steers
A new line of articulated compact wheel loaders from Wacker are designed to deliver increased performance and are being positioned as an alternative to skid-steer loaders in the landscape, rental and contractor markets. The units feature a tight 45-degree articulation leading to a tight turning radius that provides increased maneuverability.
The WL 18, WL 25 and WL 30 (pictured) compact loaders feature operating weights of 1.8, 2.5 and 3 metric tons respectively. Featuring a ROPS or canopy work platform, the WL 18 can travel at speeds up to 9.5 mph. The WL 25 features a fully articulated tipping capacity of more than 2,950 pounds when using the standard 0.46-cubic-yard bucket. The WL 30 compact wheel loader features a straight load capacity of 4,437 pounds and is powered by a 4-cylinder, 48-hp Perkins diesel engine.
“Dealers can promote to their rental customers that Wacker's articulated wheel loaders are up to 30-percent more fuel efficient, easier to operate and the narrow width and tight turning radius allow for a maneuverable unit especially in tight jobsites,” says Jay Baudhuin, compact class product manager for Wacker.
All three of the wheel loaders are operator-friendly with roomy operator's platform cabs, ergonomically placed controls and 360-degree views from higher work platforms.

Lightweight Portable Unit Provides Heavy-Duty Heating
Desa Heating's Pro-Tough series of portable forced air heaters are designed to be professional-grade and workspace-friendly. The lightweight and quiet heater works with a variety of fuel options including kerosene, diesel, jet fuel and fuel oil. The Pro-Tough series is also easy to transport and reduces the risk of work-related injuries or back pain from carrying, lifting or maneuvering the heater. The heavy-duty, wheelbarrow-inspired design features ergonomic handles and a single 10-inch pneumatic tire, making it easy to transport.
The Pro-Tough series, which operates 15 percent quieter than older models, includes a 13.5-gallon fuel tank for extended running times before refueling. Utility Loader Utilizes Telescopic Reach to Perform More Jobs
Compact Power introduces the 700 Series compact utility loaders — the 726DT, 732DT and the 749DT (pictured). All 700 models are equipped with hydrostatic transmissions, four-wheel drive for added traction and frame articulation that allows for maneuverability in tight spaces.
Designed with a telescopic arm, the hinge pin height is able to reach more than 8 feet for the 726DT, more than 9 feet for the 732DT and more than 12 feet for the 749DT, making it easy to load dump trucks or for stacking pallets. Along with its telescopic arm, the 700 Series offers high lifting capacities and breakout forces.
