John Verworn has been appointed vice president of domestic sales for the heavy equipment lines of Compaction America, Kewanee, Ill. Chuck Deahl was named manager of major accounts and training for the company's Hypac and Bomag heavy product lines.

Douglas Glass was named engineering manager for Milwaukee-based Briggs & Stratton's international operations division.

Ingersoll-Rand has named Herbert Henkel as president and chief operating officer. The Woodcliff Lake, N.J., company said it expects Henkel to succeed James Perrella as CEO in October 1999. Perrella will continue as the company's chairman.

Ingersoll-Rand, Bethlehem, Pa., has named Lawrence Silber as vice president of construction and mining group sales for the United States and Canada.

Larry Humphries was appointed to plant manager of Bil-Jax Inc., Archbold, Ohio.

Textron Turf Care, Racine, Wis., has broadened the responsibilities of vice president of marketing Steve Yolitz to include business development. Peter Whurr, who previously held the position, has been promoted to vice president of product management.

Wacker Corp., Menomonee Falls, Wis., appointed Steve Guditus as national accounts manager.
