Mitsui Machinery Distribution, Bridgeport, N.J., has promoted Ron Johnson to president and CEO. Johnson previously was vice president of marketing for the material-handling division and replaces Steve Duce, who will retire after 23 years with Mitsui.

David Williams, vice president of Gradall Co., New Philadelphia, Ohio, has been elected chairman of the Construction Industry Manufacturers Association, Milwaukee.

Alan Oswald was appointed sales training coordinator for Snorkel, St. Joseph, Mo.

Ingersoll-Rand, Woodcliff Lakes, N.J., has named Larry Silber as vice president of U.S. and Canadian sales for its construction and mining division.

Edward Samera has been appointed vice president of quality and product support in North America for Terex Lifting, Conway, S.C. Robert Halls will assume Samera's previous position as vice president and general manager for Terex Aerials, Milwaukee. Linda Pruin, director of North American sales for Terex Cranes, Waverly, Iowa, will add the same responsibility for Terex Aerials products.
