Essex Crane Rental, Buffalo Grove, Ill., appointed Mark Marzion to the newly created role of marketing manager. In this position, Marzion will be responsible for all of Essex's marketing efforts worldwide and will be based at the company's headquarters.

Sean Moran joins Iowa Mold Tooling, Garner, Iowa, in a newly created sales and marketing department position: manager, business development. Moran's primary responsibilities will involve market research and identification of business growth opportunities, as well as further development of the firm's key account strategies. He will also be dedicated to distributor development and dealer sales programs, including the IMT Select Dealer program.

Coleman Powermate announced that Cindy Malin joined the company as vice president of business development, home centers. Malin will be responsible for strengthening the company's relationship with national home center accounts, including Home Depot, Lowe's, Menard's Northern Tool and Fingerhut.

Grove Worldwide, Shady Grove, Pa., appointed Jose Luis Ortiz as a service representative for Latin America. He will assist on various aspects of distributor and customer service. Ortiz is based in Puerto Rico where he previously worked with the Grove distributor.

Zircon Corp., Campbell, Calif., announced two appointments to its board of directors. C. Stewart Gentsch, who has more than 40 years of experience in the hardware business, and Howard Slayen, a partner for PricewaterhouseCoopers for more than 30 years, joined the board in December. Zircon is a leading manufacturer of hand tools.

Kubota Tractor Corp., Torrance, Calif., announced the appointment of Nobuyuki Toshikuni as president. Toshikuni has served in various engineering and manufacturing capacities and was appointed general manager, tractor engineering, in 1999. Toshikuni assumes responsibility from Mori Hayashi, now serving as general manager, overseas operations. Hayashi was also appointed to the Kubota board of directors in 2001.

Mark Mullowney was named national finance manager at Toro Co., Bloomington, Minn. The creation of this position makes Toro the only company in the compact utility loader industry to offer comprehensive financing options for customers, the company says.

Brad Nagel was named director of customer care and after market services for the consumer and landscape contractor businesses. In his new position, Nagel will oversee Toro's customer care team, technical services and warranty administration.

Upright Inc., Selma, Calif., appointed Tom Stachurski to the position of vice president, sales and marketing. Stachurski will have responsibility for sales and marketing in North America and South America.

Textron Golf, Turf & Specialty Products named four new vice presidents to lead sales and marketing for its turf and professional lawn care divisions. Jon Carlson, the company's new president, made the announcement. Dennis Schweiger was named executive vice president of sales and marketing, turf and PLC. Schweiger is also the current president of the Irrigation Association.

Ralph Nicotera was promoted to vice president of marketing and product management, turf and PLC. Joe Thompson was appointed vice president of sales, turf. Joe LaFollette is the new vice president of customer care, turf and PLC.

Bronto Skylift, Tampere, Finland, named two additions to its sales and service team to provide additional customer support for its line of truck mounted aerial work platforms. Doug Carr joined the team as sales manager for the western United States, Mexico and Canada. He will be headquartered in Houston. Alan Hoffman joins the company as the sales and service representative for the western U.S. He is located in Waco, Texas.

Textron Inc., Providence, R.I., named three key executives to lead businesses in its $5.5 billion industrial sector.

Gregory Hyland has been promoted to president of the Industrial Products segment, Richard Clayton was named president of the Industrial Components segment, and John Garrison, will join Textron as president of E-Z-GO.
