The American Rental Association, based in Moline, Ill., elected new officers and directors for 2001. The officers are president-elect Charles Neffle of All Occasions Event Rental in Cincinnati; senior vice president-elect David Wilcox II, General Rental Center, Frankfort, Ky.; and vice president-elect Tom Fouts, Bledsoe's Equipment, Lee's Summit, Mo. The three new directors are Nancy Marshall, Reading Rentals, Reading, Pa.; Carl Newman, A&A Rentals, Sevierville, Tenn.; and Patrick Gatrell, Gatrell Equipment Rental, Gardnerville, Nev. The 2001 associate-member director-at-large is Kathryn Reissig, Stone Construction Equip-ment, Honeoye, N.Y.

Denver-based RentX named Bob Treese sales manager for Colorado and New Mexico. He has more than 15 years' experience in sales management, including the last five years at Edco.

Ringhaver Equipment appointed Dallas Johnson vice president and general manager of Southeastern Crane, a division of the Riverview, Fla.-based company. He had been with Ringhaver's sister company, Ring Power, since 1994 as vice president of its crane division.

ERB Industries, headquartered in Woodstock, Ga., gave chief financial officer Sheila Eads the additional title of executive vice president. She has been with the company since 1995.

Stone Construction Equipment named Matt Jones and Jim Platts district managers. Jones oversees Illinois, Missouri, Kansas and parts of Indiana. Platts manages Oklahoma, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah and parts of Texas.

Neil Feola was named president and CEO of OmniQuip Textron, replacing P. Enoch Stiff. Feola had been chief operating officer of the Port Washington, Wis.-based company and previously was the president and CEO of Gulf and Western Manufacturing.

Lee's Summit, Mo.-based Billy Goat Industries promoted Kenneth Hessell to national sales manager. He had been the company's Northeast region manager.

IronPlanet named Robert Alleger Jr. CEO and president. He is on the Pleasanton, Calif.-based online firm's board of directors and most recently served as president of DynCorp Technical Services.

Grove Worldwide, based in Shady Grove, Pa., named John Wheeler president and chief operating officer. He had been president of the company's international operations.

Peoria, Ill.-based Caterpillar named Vito Baumgartner as group president, overseeing the operations of the company's 11 European organizations. He had been a company vice president overseeing Caterpillar Overseas SA. Caterpillar also named Gerard Vittecoq and Ed Rapp as vice presidents for its European operations.

Time Condor of Waco, Texas, named Tom Ham the East Coast regional sales manager for its truck mount division. He had been the national account and export sales manager at Bil-Jax. Time Condor also named Dave Copeland to represent the Condor self-propelled product line in northern California and Nevada. Additionally, Jenny Pritchard was named staff accountant, Rick Baker marketing services manager, William Stogner transportation coordinator and Jeremy Pustejovsky service technician.

Brett Johnsen was named Southwest territory manager for Compaction America, headquartered in Kewanee, Ill. He had been sales manager at Arnold Machinery's Las Vegas branch.

Vermeer, based in Pella, Iowa, named Brian Metcalf vice president, sales and marketing. He has been with the company since 1990, most recently as director of dealer sales and support.

John Poag was named dealer development manager for Schaeff of North America at its Dallas headquarters. He had been with Case.

Roy Gavit was named national sales representative for Flex North America, a subsidiary of Jackson, Tenn.-based Porter-Cable/Delta Machinery. Gavit had been a district sales manager for Delta.
