Turfco adds a folding handle bar to its LS-20 lawn overseeder for storage and transportation ease.
“The LS-20 is popular with lawn care professionals and rental equipment customers because of its ease of operation and professional performance,” says Bob Brophy, Turfco sales manager for lawn care products. “Because both of these groups tend to have to haul equipment from one location to another, we wanted to ease that chore. The folding handle also makes storing the product more convenient.”
With large pneumatic tires that make it usable in almost all turf conditions, the overseeder features 1 ½-inch blade spacing and diamond-over-round metering for more precise application rates that work with a large variety of grass seed including turf-type tall fescues. The micro-screw depth adjustment permits accurate setting of the cutter blades, ranging from 1 ½ inches above the ground to 1 ½ inches deep.
All the major controls such as the blade clutch, lift bail and seed flow are mounted on the handle bar. The handle and frame are heavy-gauged steel with powder coating for longer service life.
The seed box, made of molded reinforced plastic, won't rust and is built into the deck for easy refilling. It is designed to apply plain or treated seed without jamming or plugging. With a 20-inch swath, the product can overseed up to 30,000 square feet per hour.
