SnowEx, a division of TrynEx, has introduced the New Vee Pro 6000 salt and sand spreader. Designed primarily for bulk material spreading, the unit's hopper is constructed entirely of heavy-duty polyethylene.

The Vee Pro's polymer construction is designed to offer numerous advantages over traditional steel butyl V-boxes. It is designed to eliminate corrosion and constant maintenance commonly associated with steel alternatives. The lightweight Vee Pro can be easily installed or removed by two people, freeing the vehicle to perform multiple applications.

“Since it does not rust or corrode, there is a lesser need for maintenance between uses,” says Jay Truan, sales and marketing manager. “The Vee Pro 6000 is designed to fit both short and standard truck beds. This versatility maximizes the unit's rental capabilities.”

Designed with the end-user in mind, the Vee Pro features few moving parts and a low-maintenance, direct-drive system. Powered by twin 12-volt DC direct drive motors, the Vee Pro features an auger feed system that provides continuous flow of ice control products. The patented multi-angle hopper with inverted “V” assembly further facilitates efficient material movement.

The Vee Pro 6000 is primarily intended to spread salt and salt/sand mixtures. With a 1-cubic-yard material capacity, the unit is designed for maintaining roads, bridge decks, large parking lots and intersections. The unit's spread width is variable from 5 to 35 feet.
