Art Droege was appointed deputy senior executive vice president of the rental service business area at Atlas Copco. The group includes Houston-based Prime Service and Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Rental Service Corp. Droege was Atlas Copco's Asia Pacific regional executive in Singapore.

Droege has 24 years of business development experience with Atlas Copco around the world.

Hertz named Richard Broome staff vice president of corporate affairs at its Park Ridge, N.J., headquarters. Broome had been vice president of corporate communications and governmental affairs at Selective Insurance.

JLG Industries, headquartered in McConnellsburg, Pa., promoted William Lasky to CEO, replacing David Black. Lasky had been president and chief operating officer.

Dennis Eagan was named president of Blount International's industrial and power equipment group in Montgomery, Ala. He had been president and CEO at Volvo Construction Equipment North America.

Textron appointed Neil Feola as president and CEO of OmniQuip Textron in Providence, R.I., replacing P. Enoch Stiff. Feola had served as chief operating officer since April. Before joining the company, he was the president and CEO at Gulf & Western Manufacturing.

RentX appointed Ed Detrich director of operations. He had been the national sales manager at TruServ. The Denver-based company also promoted Tony Sabo to director of purchasing and marketing. He has been in the rental industry for 18 years, most recently serving as RentX's national purchasing manager.

Deere & Co. appointed Robert Lane as chairman of its board of directors. He is the Moline, Ill.-based company's president and CEO.

Compaction America, headquartered in Kewanee, Ill., named Thad Bennett territory manager for its south central region. Bennett, who most recently served as a territory manager for Sierra Machinery, is responsible for sales of Bomag products in Texas and Louisiana and Hypac products in Louisiana.

The Manitowoc Co., based in Manitowoc, Wis., named Rob Giebel Jr. executive vice president and general manager of its crane division. He had been vice president and general manager of P&H MinePro Services.

William Lasky, CEO of JLG Industries, and Phil Von Hemert, president and COO of Tramac, were named to the board of directors of the Construction Industry Manufacturers Association in Milwaukee.

Karla Aaland was named chief operating officer at Loegering, headquartered in Casselton, N.D. She had been the company's vice president. The company also said Steve Stavenes has joined the company as a tool and die builder.

Rosco Manufacturing, headquartered in Madison, S.D., named Laura Johnson controller and Al Wentzell Jr. materials manager. Johnson has served as an accountant, management information services manager and materials manager during her seven years with the company. Wentzell joined the firm in 1999 as purchasing manager.

Iowa Mold Tooling in Garner, Iowa, promoted Gerald Nedved from inside sales representative to regional manager for Iowa, Minnesota and the Dakotas. He joined the company in 1973.

Chuck Napoli was named aerial lift and reach fork truck broker at MS Wholesale in West Allis, Wis. He has more than 25 years' experience in the construction equipment industry.

Grove Manlift, based in Shady Grove, Pa., named Mark Thurston western regional manager. He joined the company in 1984.

Daewoo Heavy Industries America appointed Tim O'Malley as vice president of distributor sales for the construction equipment division. O'Malley joined the company in 1990. The Suwanee, Ga.-based company also named Jeff Gerkhardt vice president of parts and service. He joined Daewoo in 1993.

Stellar Industries, headquartered in Garner, Iowa, named Richard LeFrancois regional hook lift sales manager for western North America.

Elk Grove Village, Ill.-based BLS Enterprises named Martin Drott sales manager.
