Dressta

Dressta introduces the 560E Extra wheel loader featuring a Tier 3 engine, joystick boom and bucket controls, hydrostatic steering and a high visibility cab. It boasts a payload capacity range of 7 cubic yards to 15 cubic yards and a 92,549-pound operating weight. The turbocharged in-line six-cylinder Cummins engine increases power to 427 hp. The 560E features a Z-bar linkage that transfers maximum breakout force to the bucket to pry out hard-packed material. The design features a single bucket cylinder that puts less weight on the front.

Komatsu

The PC138USLC-8 short-tail-swing excavator from Komatsu features a net of 92 hp and an operating weight of 31,107 to 32,568 pounds. The improved engine performance utilizes an electronic multi-staged fuel-injection system and isochronous control that maintains engine speed during heavy loads. Improvements to the hydraulic system also enhance the productivity and efficiency of the excavator. The new single-pump double-flow system and pump flow valve improve swing acceleration and steering performance.

Caterpillar

Caterpillar introduces three new H-Series small wheel loaders — the 924H (pictured), 928Hz and 930H — featuring the Cat C6.6 engine with ACERT technology designed for responsive power and low emissions. All three loaders feature the H-Series cab and operator station, engineered for easy access and efficient operation throughout an entire shift. The 924H has net engine power of 128 hp, and both the 928Hz and 930H have net engine power of 149 hp. General-purpose bucket capacities for the loaders range from 2.2 cubic yards to 3.25 cubic yards. The H-Series replaces the G-Series loaders — 924G, 928Gz and 930G.

Kubota

The Kubota KX080-3 8-ton, tight-tail-swing excavator offers more than 14,000 pounds of breakout force and is designed for work environments where space is limited but additional power is required. The KX080-3 also features a direct-injection diesel engine that can drive 14,660 pounds of bucket force and 8,554 pounds of arm crowd force, but still start easily in the cold while maintaining fuel efficiency. The excavator also improves travel by automatically downshifting into low when making turns, moving on soft earth or in extra-heavy-duty-use situations.

Sakai

Sakai introduces the CV550 track-driven, vibratory soil compactor. The track drive gives the machine the necessary traction and gradability to climb steep slopes — up to 45-degrees — while compacting. This feature is useful for landfill slopes, earthen dams and other steep embankments. The CV550 also features 61,729 pounds of centrifugal force, or 917 pounds per linear inch of total applied force over its 84-inch drum.
