ARROYO GRANDE, Calif. - Continuing to expand its GE Energy Rentals network, GE Power Systems has acquired Young Generators, a specialist in power generation rentals to the film industry.

"Young's geographic presence enables us to provide immediate coverage in locations that are attractive to our customers in the events and entertainment segments," GE Energy Rental president Martin Moore said.

Founded in 1974, Young is based here with locations in Chicago, New York, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Memphis, Tenn., and Burbank, Calif.

GE Energy Rentals, Schenectady, N.Y., now has 18 locations in the United States and three abroad, in Australia, Brazil and the United Kingdom.
