GREENWICH, Conn. — United Rentals recently opened its first Manhattan branch with a 21,000-square-foot location on 39th Street between 11th and 12th avenues.

The branch features more than 600 varieties of equipment, ranging from backhoes to drills, and will also offer merchandise such as hard hats, work gloves, hammers and diamond blades.

“While our Flushing branch was already servicing Manhattan, we wanted to make it easier and more convenient for New York customers,” said branch manager Terry Furhman.

United is No. 1 on the RER 100 and has about 750 branches in 47 states, seven Canadian provinces and Mexico.
