TruServe Intensifies Rental Focus

CHICAGO — TruServ Corp., Chicago, announced that its rental and commercial/industrial business segments now report directly to Pamela Forbes Lieberman, president and CEO.

“It's time to dial up the intensity of our focus on these business segments,” said Forbes Lieberman. “We've made some personnel changes that will help us do that.”

Rental veteran Dick Detmer will serve as interim general manager of the rental division. “Dick's extensive knowledge and professional insight of the equipment rental industry has enabled hundreds of True Value, Taylor Rental and Grand Rental Station members to maximize their return on investment,” said Forbes Lieberman. “We want even more of our True Value store owners to recognize the enormous profit potential of the equipment rental business.”

TruServ also recently announced the appointment of Fred Kirst as vice-president, maintenance, repair and operations.
