SELMA, Calif. - UpRight Inc., a manufacturer of access equipment including telescopic handlers, was named Company of the Year for 1999 by the San Joaquin Valley (Calif.) chapter of the American Production and Inventory Control Society.

APICS officials credited UpRight's involvement in hosting three training classes with plans to host others. Those classes emphasize a better understanding of production planning, inventory control and other aspects of manufacturing, the society said.
