Ontario-based Toromont Industries Ltd. signed an agreement in principal to purchase the assets of Diesel Distribution Inc.

Diesel Distribution is the authorized Perkins and GM Powertrain Master Distributor for most of Ontario, providing engine products to retail, construction, industrial and OEM customers. These products are supported by a network of sub-dealers throughout the territory offering parts and service to end-users.

Toromont Cat, a division of Toromont Industries, will combine its current Industrial Engine group with Diesel Distribution Inc. This acquisition represents an important part of Toromont Cat's long-term industrial engine strategy, and complements the existing products being offered through the Caterpillar network.
