Top of the Line Light Tower Shines
The top of Amida's line of floodlighting systems, the LT 7000, consists of a 30-foot hydraulically operated tower and four to six floodlights, an acoustical enclosure and a diesel-engine-driven generator set. Like the LT 5000, this model offers a centralized control panel and optional diagnostic center making operation and troubleshooting easier and more efficient.
“It can be lowered at any angle and has acoustic foam sound insulation in the doors,” says Dan Jones, regional manager. “This makes the unit the most asked for in the mining and petrochemical industry.”
Galvanized outriggers with pre-set position stops ensure quick and proper spacing for safe operation in heavy winds. Individual plug-in ballasts, installed in galvanized steel boxes, can be replaced without disconnecting wiring terminals. A spring-loaded pin automatically locks the tower in the upright position. The light fixtures plug into the weatherproof receptacle box at the top of the tower with UL and CSA-approved connectors. Also, the gull wing design cabinet makes the unit easy to service and has space for storage.
The light tower has a Kubota, 1,800 rpm, water-cooled engine, and the generator has a 1-30 amp twist lock 240-volt receptacle and 1-gfi protected 120-volt duplex receptacle. Additional features include a retractable, coiled power cord and five standard 3,000-pound plated screw jacks.
