Using Port Orange, Fla.-based Thompson Pumps, ITT Flygt will enter the portable, engine-driven pump market segment.

Thompson manufactures engine-powered portable pumps ranging in size from 2 to 16 inches, and has produced exclusive models that ITT Flygt will sell and rent through its factory branches and authorized distribution. ITT Flygt will also have access to the entire Thompson line of dewatering pumps, which includes wet and dry prime trash pumps, hydraulic submersible pumps, high pressure jet pumps and wellpoint pumps.

Through the startup and growth of rental fleets, ITT Flygt will use the engine-driven pumps to complement its line of electric submersibles, specifying the portable pumps for applications requiring temporary, stand-by or remote pumping.
