Bill Thompson, president and CEO of Port Orange, Fla.-based Thompson Pump, was recently voted in as the new chairman of the Contractor Pump Bureau, a product specific group within the Association of Equipment Manufacturers.

Jim Widrick of Gorman-Rupp, Mansfield, Ohio, will serve as vice chairman.

The CPB is comprised of leading U.S. contractor pump suppliers, to address common industry issues such as product integrity in performance ratings, safety standardization, and communication and evaluation of environmental and sound regulations.
