Textron Introduces Cutting Decks for Riding Mowers
To provide a more precise match for mowing requirements, Textron has introduced a choice of six new cutting decks for its Ransomes Front Line 723D and 725 (pictured) riding mowers.
Two low-noise, deep-draft decks are designed to evenly distribute large amounts of grass clippings, thus reducing windrows, the company says. These side-discharge decks are available in 63- and 72-inch cutting widths. Rear discharge decks and mulching decks are also available in 60- and 72-inch cutting widths.
"With the new cutting deck and attachment choices, the Ransomes Front Line 700 rotary mowers offer versatility for a wide range of professional lawn care applications," says Peter Whurr, vice president of product management.
The 725 gets its juice from a 25-horsepower air-cooled Kohler gas engine, while the 723D is powered by a 23-horsepower Perkins liquid-cooled diesel engine. Both models mow at a maximum speed of 6 mph, the company says.
Standard features on the mowers include a heavy-duty, formed-and-welded steel frame, externally mounted fuel tanks for ease of access, a foot pedal-actuated parking brake, conveniently located operator controls, and large turf-tread tires, according to Whurr.
Various maintenance attachments can be fitted on the mowers by removing the cutting deck and attaching a specialized adapter kit, the company says. These include a snow blower and snow blade, and a rotary brush for cleaning sidewalks and parking lots.
