Terex, Vectra Launch Indian Operation

Terex Corp. and Britain-based Vectra Ltd. launched an Indian joint venture operation to manufacture and sell construction equipment in India.

Terex Vectra Equipment Private Ltd. said it had built a greenfield manufacturing facility near New Delhi with an initial investment of more than $12 million.

The company said it would initially make vibratory loaders and skid steers, with vibratory compactors and mini-excavators available by the end of the year.
