Safety Main Concern With Premco's 7614 Trailer
With safety as the main concern, the model 7614 trailer from Premco Products has a deck that remains level as it lowers completely to the ground. The chance of injury is greatly reduced by loading on a flat surface at ground level.
“While accomplishing this, it [the trailer] still has the features of a full suspension system and a chassis design that eliminates the need for fenders,” says Al Behr, vice president Premco Products.
This trailer, added to the Triple L line, has no incline or ramps so there is no chance of slipping or traction problems. It is easy for one person to load equipment even in adverse weather conditions and reduces the chance of personal injury. The trailer remains level as it is raised hydraulically, making the loading of the second or third piece of equipment safe. Once equipment is driven onto the deck it can be raised in less than 15 seconds.
Features include a fully self-contained hydraulic system for raising and lowering the deck, patented quadra-spring suspension, equalizer tandem axle, fender-less chassis design, steel diamond deck plate, powder coat paint and enclosed lockable storage compartments. One compartment is used for storing tools and tie downs, while the other encloses the hydraulic pump and battery. Also, users can load the trailer when it is not attached to a tow vehicle.
The trailer has D rings that provide better directional securing of the equipment to the deck. Oversized bearings on the deck are rated for 80,000 pounds and are greaseless and sealed. The jack stand is a heavy-duty quick adjusting tongue jack. The new model joins other trailers in the line that start in size from 2,000 to 10,000 pounds capacity and with single or tandem axles.
