Robert Bosch Tool Corp. Established

In organizing to better serve the North American marketplace, S-B Power Tool Corp. and Vermont American Corp. announced the formation of the Robert Bosch Tool Corp., a company with more than $1 billion in annual sales and more than 5,000 employees.

As of Jan. 1, all brands under the former S-B Power Tool Corp. and Vermont American Corp. names — Bosch Power Tools, Skil Power Tools, Dremel, Vermont-America, Primark brands and Gilmour — are now part of the Robert Bosch Tool Corp.

Furthermore, in a newly created position, Reiner Beutel joins Robert Bosch Tool Corp. as its chairman, president and CEO and is responsible for all Bosch North America power tool, accessory and lawn and garden business units. At the same time, Beutel was appointed to the Germany-based board of management of the Bosch Power Tools Division for Robert Bosch GmbH.

“This new company allows us to better serve our customers and refocus our commitment to the North American marketplace,” said Beutel. “By centralizing our resources and focusing our efforts on all North America, we're perfectly poised to bring the next level of products and service to the industry.”
