Ramirent Acquires Polish Mast-Climbing Rental Firm
HELSINKI, Finland — Ramirent S.A., the Polish wholly-owned subsidiary of Ramirent Plc, entered into an agreement to acquire the rental business of Alimak Hek Polska, including contracts and rental assets. AHP, a subsidiary of Alimak Hek Group AB, a leading international supplier of mast climbing equipment, projects 2005 volume of about 1 million Euros, according to European press reports, close to $1.2 million.
Through the acquisition, Ramirent expands its product range and increases its market share in mast-climbing equipment rental in Poland, while giving the company immediate access to a number of long-term projects.
Ramirent is the leading equipment rental company in the Nordic countries as well as Central and Eastern Europe. Based in Helsinki, Finland, Ramirent has more than 250 branches in 11 countries, employs more than 2,500 people and had 2004 volume of 316 million Euros, equivalent to nearly U.S. $380 million.
